Description
The Sherpa N902 is the lightest stairlift in the series produced by Ksp. It features new electronics that characterize the machine making it even more reliable with better performance. Capacity 130 kg.
Traction
Renewed design of the 42-tooth tracks and innovative tensioning system. The increased number of gripping teeth, the renewed design, the innovative tensioning system of the tracks have allowed a significant reduction in noise and vibrations while driving, friction and an increase in grip. The N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift consequently has extraordinary driving comfort and greater autonomy.
Transmission
Irreversible monobloc gearmotor with double conversion and high efficiency. Reduction ratio 96:1. The transmission organs of the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift are reduced to a minimum thanks to the transmission via monobloc gearmotor, to the advantage of the reliability and maintainability of the vehicle. The irreversibility by construction of the gearmotor guarantees the automatic blocking of the vehicle even in the event of faults. The torque on the slow shaft of the gearmotor takes on particular importance, a torque that in conditions of starting from a standstill, on maximum slope and with maximum load can reach particularly remarkable values. The sizing of the system therefore plays a key role in ensuring its reliability and longevity. In this regard, the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift uses a slow shaft with a diameter of 20 mm and an electronic control unit for controlling the traction torque.
Motor
DC Brushed Motor 24V, Pmax 265W, Nominal speed 1,660 rpm, IP44 protection class. The 24V power supply has allowed us to achieve important performance goals, giving the vehicle a greater autonomy than the competition. The motor of the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift has a closed brush cap for easy replacement.
Batterie
No. 2 Lead Acid 12V 12A batteries connected in series. The batteries of the N 902 Sherpa Tracked Stairlift are of the maintenance-free Lead Acid type. The choice to use a 24V machine voltage has allowed a reduction in the size and weight of the batteries themselves thanks to the greater overall efficiency of the system. The positioning of the batteries has been optimised to obtain an excellent weight distribution.
Control unit
Microprocessor electronic control unit for traction control, display of residual autonomy, control of the electric movement of the maneuver wheels and safety devices. The use of an electronic control unit for traction control allows smooth starts and stops, improves the efficiency of the vehicle and increases its reliability thanks to the reduction of stress on the mechanical parts. The absence of jerks, sudden starts and stops also guarantees an unparalleled ride comfort of the N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift. The battery charge status is continuously estimated and displayed via special LEDs located on the ignition panel. The control unit of the N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift also manages the motor responsible for moving the maneuver wheels and all the safety devices, among which it is worth remembering:
-Rudder locking safety (if the rudder is not perfectly locked the controls are excluded)
-Safety in maneuvering mode (when the maneuvering wheels are lowered, traction operation is not permitted).
Battery charger
5-stage microprocessor battery charger. The integrated battery charger of the N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift allows you to recharge the vehicle anywhere there is a mains socket. This unit has been selected to maximise battery life and the vehicle's autonomy, and charging is in fact carried out in 5 stages:
-stage 1) Fast charge at constant current
-stage 2) Constant voltage absorption charge
-stage 3) Constant voltage equalization charge;
-stage 4) Charging control
-stage 5) Buffer or maintenance charge
Thanks to the simple fixing and connectorization, the charger can be easily dismantled for maintenance.
Rudder
The N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift has a chromed lattice structure with electro-welded steel tubes. Particular care has been taken in the coupling/uncoupling system of the drawbar to the frame, implementing an effective solution that requires minimal effort from the operator and does not allow errors, thanks to the double mechanical/electronic safety system. The coupling system of the drawbar of the N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift is concealed to ensure total protection against accidental access even with the drawbar extracted. The adjustment system of the wheelchair anchoring points on the handlebar has been designed with particular care. The adjustment is easy thanks to the single locking pin that allows adjustment with just one hand and with minimal effort. To complete the whole thing there are the ergonomic knobs, the rationally arranged controls, easy to access and protected against accidental activation.
Chassis
Electro-welded steel frame. The N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift uses an electro-welded steel frame that gives it the necessary rigidity and strength. All in a compact and elegant design that, thanks to the high level of engineering, has allowed us to reach high goals in terms of lightness, clean design and rationalization of assembly. Maintenance and adjustment of the individual components is simple and easy because the right access routes and the correct spaces for operating with commonly used tools and keys have been provided.
Cover
Cover in printed shockproof polystyrene.

N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift
The N 902 Sherpa KSP Tracked Stairlift is a new generation stairlift ready to take on any challenge in terms of reliability, safety and ease of operation. Special technical features such as manual release in the event of any type of mechanical or electronic failure allow the stairlift to be completed when stuck on the stairs or ascending with the patient on board; the exposed fuse allows for a technical assistance intervention to be resolved in just a few moments which would otherwise involve dismantling the entire cover casing; finally, the new movement system of the manoeuvring wheels makes it extremely quick to move the tracked stairlift for disabled people on the landing.Traction
