The S-MAX Medimec wheeled stairlift is the innovative system for overcoming architectural barriers, compact, lightweight and easy to handle. This type of aid, for indoor/outdoor use, is useful for going up and down stairs while sitting comfortably in a wheelchair. Available in two models:

• S-MAX - Payload 135 kg
• S-MAX - Load capacity 160 kg

The S-MAX stairlift can be applied to most wheelchairs on the market and is designed for those who do not want to give up an active life, both inside and outside the home. Thanks to a solid and safe structure, it is able to overcome any type of staircase.

On any scale safely

Applied to your wheelchair using special hooks (supplied, assembled and certified by Medimec), S-MAX allows you to go up and down any stairs in complete safety without changing your habits and with the simple help of an operator.

Like all AAT stairlifts, it is able to easily tackle even the narrowest staircases (with steps 22 or 23.5 cm high in the larger version) or spiral staircases, including the smallest and narrowest landings.

S-MAX focuses on quality and safety

• It can be quickly applied to the wheelchair using two hooks, without making any changes to the original set-up (see Assistance)
• Thanks to its compact size and low weight, it is compatible with almost all wheelchair models, even the narrowest ones, starting from a seat measurement of 24 cm*.
• The innovative advancement system ensures easy handling on both straight and spiral staircases.
• The minimum maneuvering space on the landing is approximately 90 cm
• It has a pair of automatic brakes that prevent the appliance from slipping forward over the edge of the step.
• Compact and lightweight, it can be easily transported in any trunk as it can be divided into three pieces (handle, batteries, motor), reducing weight and size to be used when needed, for example in public places, at work or on holiday.
• It is equipped with two LEDs to make the steps more visible in dimly lit environments.
• For greater ease of use, it has ergonomic and clearly visible controls and handles and a height-adjustable handle.
• It stops automatically at each step but offers the possibility of choosing the continuous motion mode
• Thanks to the Smart-Step function it is extremely comfortable and safe: the support bracket moves on a shock absorber avoiding sudden shocks.
• It is equipped with a removable safety key that acts as an "emergency stop" to prevent improper use by unauthorized persons.
• It does not require any effort from the operator: the sensation perceived by both the assisted person and the assistant is one of extreme comfort and safety.
• It has buttons and a charge indicator that are particularly visible and easy to use by anyone (on/off, up/down)
• Thanks to the solid rubber wheels it can be used both indoors on wooden, stone, marble, PVC or carpeted stairs without damaging them, and outdoors on steel stairs.
• Available in the version applicable to evacuation chairs and stretcher chairs for professional use by Public Assistance
• It is equipped with a single, solid and safe support bracket, which allows its use even on narrow spiral staircases.
• It is equipped with an energy recovery system so you don't get stuck on the ladder when the battery runs out.

* The minimum seat size compatible with the stairlift depends on the wheelchair model.
